We exist to give hope, provide healing, and ensure justice for abused and neglected children within our community.

Shasta County, and the surrounding six counties, has some of the highest substantiated cases of child abuse in our state.

“In our current system, these children must tell their painful story as many as 10 times. By the time a child walks through the doors of my office, they don’t want to talk about their experience anymore and are fearful they will have to describe it again,” said Sarah Murphy, Deputy District Attorney and co-founder. “One benefit of the Children’s Legacy Center will be reducing these difficult experiences to as few as two times.”

A piece of these children was taken from them, including their hope and their wonder. We seek to give that hope back, restore their ability to dream, and allow them to recapture their childhood.
