What is the cost of service?
In most cases, patients and families can access treatment at no cost to the family as insurance and/or California Victim Compensations is accepted as payment in full. With certain insurance policies, we are required by the insurance company to collect a co-pay.
What should I expect for length of treatment?
Length of treatment depends on the child/adolescent and family’s needs. Treatment could be as little as a couple of sessions, with the average length of treatment approximately 12 to 25 weekly sessions. Length of time depends on multiple factors and is based on individual needs. Most sessions are 45 min to 55 minutes in length, however the intake appointment and large family sessions may take up to 2 hours.
Who can utilize counseling services from the CLC?
We provide treatment to youth between the ages of 2 to 18, however foster youth may be seen until age 26, if they are a non-minor dependent. Counseling services are offered to the entire family as trauma impacts the whole family. Your family may be assigned one or more therapists based on the individual and family’s needs.
We try to address all barriers and can provide in person and video sessions, as needed. We schedule sessions Monday through Thursday and offer appointments during the day, and into the evening hours. Our clinic hours are 8:30am - 8:30pm.
