The Children’s Legacy Center (CLC) is seeking a Director of Clinical Services to oversee the mental and behavioral health aspects of our Short-Term Residential Treatment Program (STRTP) program for at-risk and trafficked youth. The Director is responsible for the supervision of the STRTP mental health clinicians as well as providing direct services to trafficked youth. While the role of Director of Clinical Services is primarily clinical and supervisory, the ideal candidate is a supportive and compassionate team leader, seeing leadership as an opportunity to serve. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, the Director of Clinical Services will work closely with the STRTP Administrator and Mental Health Director to ensure excellent clinical standards are met and the STRTP staff culture and service is compassionate, kind and inclusive.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science
• Current and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a LCSW/LMFT/LPCC
• ▪ 5+ years’ experience managing staff in a child welfare, mental health, or substance abuse program
• Strong interpersonal and team management skills
• Knowledge and understanding of the laws regarding documentation, reporting, and confidentiality
• Strong crisis management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising in a group home setting
• Bilingual

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead the mental health team in creating a supportive environment for trafficked youth
• Supervise STRTP clinicians, mental health documentation, and responsible for maintaining state licensure compliance standards
• Develop policies and procedures concerning all aspects of the STRTP
• Create STRTP crisis management plan
• Work collaboratively with CLC staff, facility and direct care staff, Shasta County HHSA, pilot counties, and Foster Family Agency staff
• Develop and maintain current Shasta County resource list
• Stay up-to-date on current best practices regarding harm reduction strategies
• Responsible for self and staff awareness of multi-cultural dynamics within the program

The Children’s Legacy Center began in 2016. Our passion is to aid children and youth who have been abused and exploited. We currently achieve this goal by offering forensic interviewing services as a part of our Children’s Advocacy Center. These interviews reduce trauma and help our partner agencies expedite justice for children, youth, and their families. We are now able to buildup on this tested and stable foundation and are building out our regional pilot model for exploited children and youth. This model is a diverse, holistic, and far-reaching collection of programs and services that will multiply our impact in the community and beyond. Although each of our team obtains a specific job description, we work collaboratively to develop and expand our organization.
